JOHN 1:4
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
JOHN 15:5
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Colossians 2:21, 23 (NIV)
"Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.
COLOSSIANS 2:21, 23 (KJV)
Touch not; taste not; handle not. Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will worship, and [FALSE] humility, and neglecting of the body.
ROMANS 7:19-24
For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
JAMES 1:14-15
but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
LUKE 15:13
Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.
Luke 18: 38, 40-41
He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?"
James 1:7-8
That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
Revelation 3:15-16
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Galatians 5:4
You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
Galatians 5: 10,12
The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be. As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
Mark 5:2-6
When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him any more, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet.
No one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones. When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him.
Mark 5:15
the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind
